A Modern 303-Style bassline VST
CreakBox V2 is a circuit-modelled 303-style bass synthesizer for Windows.
At its core is a monophonic acid voice built around the interaction between oscillator, filter, envelope, Slide and Accent. Three distinct filter and voice characters take it from familiar 303-style movement to dirtier, more aggressive and unconventional bass sounds.
It is not a one-to-one clone. CreakBox takes the behaviour and immediacy of classic analogue bassline synthesis as its starting point and builds outward from there.

CreakBox V2 is not designed as a one-to-one TB-303 clone, but it can move convincingly into familiar 303-style territory. It models the musical behaviours that make acid basslines move—slide, accent, resonant filter movement, oscillator interaction and nonlinear drive—then expands the workflow with synthesized drums, multiple filter characters, analogue-modelled distortion, tape processing and Circuit Bends.
Choose a strict 303 emulator when exact reproduction of one vintage instrument is the main objective. Choose CreakBox V2 when you want the familiar acid workflow developed into a complete bass, rhythm and sound-design instrument.

Program note, gate, slide, accent and attack independently for each step. Shape the pattern through resonant nonlinear filters, oscillator options, sub-bass and internal drive.
Distortion, Tape and Circuit Bend
Push the complete instrument through four analogue-modelled distortion circuits, tape processing and tempo-aware echo. Use Circuit Bend to alter internal parameters and move beyond conventional acid sounds.
Designed to Be Driven
Selectable real-time oversampling reduces aliasing when resonance, filter drive and distortion create new harmonics. Registered-version export rendering uses the high-quality processing path.
From the Original CreakBox
to CreakBox V2
I created the original CreakBox in 2003 as a compact acid-oriented bassline synthesizer. More than two decades later, I returned to the concept and rebuilt it from the ground up as CreakBox V2.
The result is a modern 64-bit Windows VST3 that retains the immediacy of the original instrument while expanding it with circuit-modelled synthesis, advanced sequencing, analogue-modelled distortion, tape effects and Circuit Bend.
CreakBox V2 is not a port or a cosmetic update. It is a complete redesign based on more than twenty years of additional experience in software development, sound design and analogue circuit analysis.
